Information we collect
When you submit a claim, we collect your contact details, vehicle registration, mileage, fault description, postcode and any photographs you choose to provide. Partnership applications include business and contact information, trade registration details, county and sales-volume information.
How we use it
We use claim information to receive, assess, administer and communicate about warranty claims. We use partnership information to assess eligibility and contact applicants. Our lawful basis may include taking steps at your request, performing a contract, complying with legal obligations and our legitimate interests in administering warranty services.
Who receives it
Authorised Warranty Ireland personnel and relevant service providers may process this information. Resend processes website email delivery on our behalf. Information may also be shared with relevant dealers, repairers, administrators or professional advisers where necessary for a claim or legal obligation.
International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside Ireland or the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, appropriate transfer safeguards should be used, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual clauses.
Retention
We retain information only for as long as needed for the purpose collected and to meet contractual, regulatory, tax, insurance and legal requirements. Final retention periods must be confirmed in Warranty Ireland's internal retention schedule.
Security
We use access controls, encrypted web transport, restricted server-side credentials and submission controls. No internet or email system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please upload only photographs relevant to your claim and do not include unnecessary identity, financial, medical or other sensitive information.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to certain processing. You may also raise a concern with the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
